Come over here butterfly....

I seriously need to get a handle on this blogging thing. I really wanted to be successful at it, but life is not co-operating with me. The weather has been beautiful out lately, and we've been spending a lot of time outdoors, which I think is part of the problem.....who wants to sit inside and blog when the sun is shining just outside your window?? Well, my husband for one (he's an inside person) but not me....
On the bright side, I have been able to get huge amounts of work done in the yard!! We've cleared out an entire portion of over grown bushes and vines, giving us an additional 200 sq. feet of land on the side of our backyard. I also finally built my raised flowerbed, and filled it with dirt (which was harder than I thought...note to self: 6ft x 3ft x 18inches...is big!!) and now it has a few flowers planted and there are some seeds that are hopefully ready to grow as well. All of the flowers planted are said to attract butterflies, which hopefully will give us a lot to look at come mid-summer.  If the flowers actually grow, I'm thinking we will have to hatch some butterflies of our own, and then release them into our garden...hopefully some of them will stay and call it home.
The biggest problem with completing a project, is that it opens up ideas for new projects....for example, my backyard. I wanted to built a raised flowerbed, to do that I needed to clear out the overgrown section of my yard, and once that was done I found that the back fence had sections that needed to be replaced, and after looking at that, I decided that the front needed to be fenced in too.....see, all of that because I wanted some flowers to attract butterflies.
